The tattoos tend to throw people off. That’s okay. The people who look past them are usually the ones I work best with. What they find is someone who will be straight with them, advocate for them, and stay in their corner long after the paperwork is done.
Before I became a mortgage broker in Alberta, I was an Advanced Care Paramedic. I spent years showing up for people in crisis, making fast decisions under pressure, and helping them feel less afraid when everything felt uncertain. The hardest part of that work was the handoff. You’d do everything right, transfer care at the hospital, and then walk away not knowing what happened next.
Mortgage brokering changed that.
Here, I don’t walk away. I stay in the story. I get to see people move into their first home, rebuild stability, and create something lasting. I finally get to see how things unfold.
That’s why I do this.

I don’t treat mortgages like transactions because I don’t believe they are. This work is about doing what’s right for you, even when that means having hard conversations or telling you something you weren’t expecting to hear.
You’ll always be kept informed. Even when there’s nothing new to report, you’ll know where things stand, because silence creates uncertainty, and you should never have to sit in that.
And when your mortgage closes, I don’t disappear. I stay connected through annual reviews, market updates, and proactive check-ins when something matters for you.
I’m in your corner from the first conversation and beyond closing. That's just how I work.
As a mortgage broker in Alberta, I work with buyers and homeowners across the province. That includes first-time buyers navigating the process for the first time, repeat buyers making their next move, and homeowners looking at refinancing options like restructuring debt, accessing equity, or preparing for renewal.
I work especially well with people who feel overwhelmed, uncertain about their next step, or frustrated after a banking experience that didn’t feel supportive.
My approach is straightforward, education-focused, and built around your real life, not just your application.
A mortgage broker works on your behalf to find the right mortgage product from a wide range of lenders, not just one bank. I handle the research, the paperwork, the lender conversations, and the strategy. You get options and someone who explains what they actually mean for you.
Look for someone who communicates clearly, explains everything, gives you honest answers, and treats your file like it matters. Ask how they'll keep you updated throughout the process and whether they'll still be available after you close. The broker you want is one who is genuinely invested in the outcome, not just the commission.
A bank can only offer you their own products. A mortgage broker has access to multiple lenders and can compare options on your behalf. In most cases, a broker can find you a better rate or better terms, and the service is typically free to you because brokers are compensated by the lender. The bigger advantage, though, is having someone who is working for you, not for the institution.
Yes, and it's some of my favourite work. Buying your first home is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make and it can feel completely overwhelming. I walk first-time buyers through every step, explain how everything works, and make sure you feel confident and informed, not pressured, before you sign anything.
I'm Angela Robinson, licensed mortgage broker with BRX Mortgage, serving clients in Edmonton and across Alberta. If you want a broker who will tell you the truth, work hard for you, and still be there long after you've moved in, let's talk.
When I'm not working, you'll find me outside as much as possible. I was born and raised in Edmonton and I have deep roots here, which means I genuinely care about this city and the people building their lives in it.
I have two horses, Blackjack and Miley, and a chihuahua named Ripley who takes his treat sampling very seriously. Animals have always been a big part of my life and there is something about them that keeps everything in perspective.
Family means everything to me. I was raised by people who worked hard and that's just how I'm wired. I think that's part of why this work fits me so well. When someone is buying a home they're not just signing paperwork. They're doing something for their family, their future, the people they love. I understand that on a deeply personal level.
This call is a simple conversation. We talk about where you are, where you want to be, and what your next steps look like. No commitment, no pressure, no obligation. Just direct guidance from someone who understands.
